I explore the following research themes, using a combination of experimental techniques including scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), x-ray photoemission electron microscopy (X-PEEM), x-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS) and x-ray diffraction (XRD), both in the lab and at synchrotron radiation facilities (ELETTRA, in Trieste, Italy and the Canadian Light Source, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).
